GPS Troubleshooting

1. No reading

Make sure the GPS is plugged in.

Please make sure the GPS is installed by checking the device manager under the sensor group. u-blox should appear as a sensor. If the GPS was not installed, try to install the GPS following the installation guide.

Also check "Location privacy settings" in Windows settings. Location function must be turned on and open to 3rd party apps.

To test if the GPS is successfully installed, download the u-center software and check if u-center can successfully read the GPS data

If it still doesn't work, go to the device manager, find the sensor driver and right click on it to check if there's any power saving mode turned on. Turn off all power saving related settings.

2. Low accuracy

If the GPS accuracy is consistently showing over 50 meters while being outside, there may be a problem with GPS hardware or driver.  Please make sure the GPS hardware is properly installed. When the GPS starts working, it typically shows an accuracy less than 10 meters.  It can take up to five minutes for GPS reading to show high accuracy when a new GPS starts to work.
